“God decided to let his people know just how rich and glorious that truth is. That secret truth, which is for all people, is that Christ lives in you, his people. He is our hope for glory” (Colossians 1:27 ERV).

We are saved by God’s grace. There is no need to work for salvation, we cannot earn it. We cannot be good enough to earn salvation and there is no human being that has been born that does not need God’s gracious gift of salvation. When salvation happens within us, Christ enters. This fact alone sets Christianity apart from every other movement. Mohammad does not enter Muslims and Buddha does not enter Hindus. Of all movements, Christ alone enters the hearts of His followers.

Christ in us is the hope of glory among all Christians. When we receive Him by faith, Christ moves into our hearts rearranging confusion into clear direction. Bad choices are replaced by better choices. Little by little, a new self emerges, a self which is shaped in the image of Christ. Grace opens our hearts for God to remove the poisons of pride, anger, bitterness, hatred and pain replacing it with humility, peace, love and joy. God works with us and in us to bring Heaven into us. That is Christ in us the hope of glory.

Lord, I open my heart to you. Fill every part of me. Today, I acknowledge you as Lord and Savior of my life. Christ, you are my hope of glory.
